By Kirye and Pierre Gosselin It’s been a particularly mild winter in Europe this year. But that hasn’t changed the long-term trend over the past 30 years. Now that the February 2020 data have been coming in, we plot the mean February temperatures for some countries in Europe. Great Britain Twelve of 14 stations in […]

Exchange Of Arctic Research Crew Gets Delayed As Supply Ice Breaker Blocked By Unexpected “Dense Sea Ice” — Iowa Climate Science Education
Lately we’ve been hearing reports of how Arctic sea ice has (unexpectedly) reached normal levels this winter. This is a bit of good news which the media avoid mentioning. But the resurgence of Arctic ice has hardly been good news for global warming alarmists, and especially for the 300 crew members of German high-tech research […]
No raw data, no science: another possible source of the reproducibility crisis — Iowa Climate Science Education
From Molecular Brain, Biomedical Central Molecular Brain volume 13, Article number: 24 (2020) Cite this article Abstract A reproducibility crisis is a situation where many scientific studies cannot be reproduced. Inappropriate practices of science, such as HARKing, p-hacking, and selective reporting of positive results, have been suggested as causes of irreproducibility. In this editorial, I […]
Non-intergovernmental International Panel On Climate Change [NIPCC]
Climate change reconsidered
The Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) is an international panel of nongovernment scientists and scholars who have come together to understand the causes and consequences of climate change. Because we are not predisposed to believe climate change is caused by human greenhouse gas emissions, we are able to look at evidence the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) ignores. Because we do not work for any governments, we are not biased toward the assumption that greater government activity is necessary.
NIPCC traces its roots to a meeting in Milan in 2003 organized by the Science and Environmental Policy Project (SEPP), a nonprofit research and education organization based in Arlington, Virginia. SEPP, in turn, was founded in 1990 by Dr. S. Fred Singer, an atmospheric physicist, and incorporated in 1992 following Dr. Singer’s retirement from the University of Virginia. NIPCC is currently a joint project of SEPP, The Heartland Institute, and the Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change.
NIPCC has produced 14 reports to date:
- Nature, Not Human Activity, Rules the Climate
- Climate Change Reconsidered: The 2009 Report of the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC)
- Climate Change Reconsidered: 2011 Interim Report

Delingpole: Sorry, Gove, But Americans Don’t Accept Your Climate Obsession — Iowa Climate Science Education
Unilaterally decarbonising it — as seems to be Boris Johnson’s and Michael Gove’s wizard plane — must surely count among the most suicidally pointless plan ever devised by any government in history, especially by one wearing the ‘Conservative’ tag. Michael Gove – the most powerful figure in the UK government after Boris Johnson – has […]

New Study: Greenland Was ‘4–5 °C Warmer Than Today’ ~9000 Years Ago…When The Arctic Was Nearly Sea-Ice Free — Iowa Climate Science Education
Scientists (Syring et al., 2020) find almost sea ice-free conditions pervaded a much warmer northern Greenland region during the Early Holocene. Arctic sea ice extent has “continuously” grown for ~4800 years, with modern conditions a bit lower than the peak of the last few centuries. Image Source: Syring et al., 2020 In a new paper […]
