A comment by PhD physicist David Appell, a contributing writer to Scientific American and Nature, shows he does not understand the fundamental climate-driving mechanism of water evaporation in a recent comment. Amazon rain forest still exists despite very warm, year-round temperatures. Image cropped: NASA Many readers are familiar with climate alarm dogmatist David Appell. He […]

State of the Polar Bear Report 2019: Are polar bear researchers hiding good news? — Iowa Climate Science Education
International Polar Bear Day is a good day to ask: Are polar bear researchers hiding good news? Extended lags in publishing polar bear counts and a failure to publish data on female polar bear body weights and cub survival in Western Hudson Bay for more than 25 years make it look like polar bear researchers […]

Non-intergovernmental International Panel On Climate Change [NIPCC]
Climate change reconsidered
The Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) is an international panel of nongovernment scientists and scholars who have come together to understand the causes and consequences of climate change. Because we are not predisposed to believe climate change is caused by human greenhouse gas emissions, we are able to look at evidence the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) ignores. Because we do not work for any governments, we are not biased toward the assumption that greater government activity is necessary.
NIPCC traces its roots to a meeting in Milan in 2003 organized by the Science and Environmental Policy Project (SEPP), a nonprofit research and education organization based in Arlington, Virginia. SEPP, in turn, was founded in 1990 by Dr. S. Fred Singer, an atmospheric physicist, and incorporated in 1992 following Dr. Singer’s retirement from the University of Virginia. NIPCC is currently a joint project of SEPP, The Heartland Institute, and the Center for the Study of Carbon Dioxide and Global Change.
NIPCC has produced 14 reports to date:
- Nature, Not Human Activity, Rules the Climate
- Climate Change Reconsidered: The 2009 Report of the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC)
- Climate Change Reconsidered: 2011 Interim Report

Delingpole: Sorry, Gove, But Americans Don’t Accept Your Climate Obsession — Iowa Climate Science Education
Unilaterally decarbonising it — as seems to be Boris Johnson’s and Michael Gove’s wizard plane — must surely count among the most suicidally pointless plan ever devised by any government in history, especially by one wearing the ‘Conservative’ tag. Michael Gove – the most powerful figure in the UK government after Boris Johnson – has […]
